Liar, liar

Liar, liar

Yesterday you lied about goodbye
Pulled away with no good night
I lost my way, was out of sight
Drained, weak and out of mind
Days and weeks seemed quick to pass
The agony seemed it would last
I die, die, die, even when awake
TO garden, the fountain seemed to be
Another man and there was him and me
To night did share a passionless kiss
Then late did he leave me be
The next day, the man that was and me
I came to say ‘hi’ and ‘how are you’
Said he was fine; ‘I’m fine without you’
That day he lied about saying ‘hi’
Claimed the next week, no more goodbye
Did share one damaged love and union
Days and weeks seemed quick to pass
The fairytale seemed that it would last
Today you lied about you and I
That there wasn’t me in the naked eye
That they mattered more than I
And then behold you said “goodbye”
