Away my iceman went

Away my iceman went

He armed himself with gears
Ones he used to fight his fears
Packed the axe he used to break the ice
Lifted his hand to roll the dice
He didn’t even hear my voice
I didn’t even have a choice
He paced straight through the door
Before I knew it, my tears were on the floor
‘But where was I? Where was everything?’
I asked as if pretending
He said, “You knew that I cannot remain
“Amidst another hurricane”
